Congratulations are in order for Maria and Marissa Mohammad as they helped bring home a NCAA National Championship for the University of Tampa.  Maria and Marissa, who played a big part of the 2007 Inaugural W-League Season, attend the University of Tampa in Florida and were instrumental in the school’s success during the 2007 campaign.  UT was able to edge Franklin Pierce College on penalties after a scoreless 110 minutes.  Marissa, during the semi final match, scored the first goal for UT that led them to their first ever birth in the NCAA Division II National Championship.  "It is very exciting to see the girls having such success during their collegiate season," said Lady Gunners Head Coach Gerry Austin, "the girls were great in Fredericksburg and trully represent what we are looking to bring to the area.  They are certainly a shining example for all female players in Fredericksburg, from Fredericksburg.  I look forward to bring them back."
