Fredericksburg Generals Host PASL International Championships

Tournament Runs March 14-15 at the Fredericksburg Field House

The Fredericksburg Generals will host the 2008 PASL International Championships and all games will be played at the Fredericksburg Field House. The 12-team tournament will begin play on Friday, March 14th at 3:00pm with group play. The 12 best amateur indoor teams from across the country will be split into four groups of three. Each team will play two group play games on Friday evening. The quarter-finals and semi-finals will take place on Saturday morning and the International Final will kickoff at 6:00pm Saturday evening.

The host and Mid-Atlantic Division Champions, the Fredericksburg Generals will open the tournament against the Mountain Division Champion Albuquerque Asylum at 5:30pm. They will face Quantum FC in their second match of group play at 7:10pm. The abbreviated games will consist of two-18 minute halves.

The Fredericksburg Generals have won their last four games including the Division Championship 23-16 last weekend. Come out and be a part of the biggest indoor tournament in the United States right here in Fredericksburg!!! This is an opportunity to see the best athletes in the country compete for the top prize of PASL International Champion.

Generals Prepare for PASL Mid-Atlantic Division Championship

Generals Host Final Regular Season Game of 2008 on Saturday Night

Bid to Win Your Favorite Players Game Worn Jersey

The Fredericksburg Generals will play their final regular season game of 2007-08 on Saturday, February 23rd at the Fredericksburg Field House. The Virginia Legacy come to town to take on the first place Generals in a rematch of a 12-9 Fredericksburg victory in December. The Generals sit on top of the Mid-Atlantic Division with a 5-2 record while the Virginia Legacy are currently in fourth place with a 2-2-3 record. The Generals are lead by captain Kelvin Jones who has 13 goals and 5 assists on the year.

The game will feature the annual Generals Game Worn Jersey Auction. Come out and bid on your favorite players red game jersey. The bidding will end when the game is over and the jerseys will be available following the PASL International Finals on March 14-15. Come out and support the Generals for the last regular season game of 2008. Wear red and bring the noise-makers!!!

Tickets are $7 for Adults and $3 for Children under 14.

Any youth player that wears a red shirt will receive free admission to this game!!!

Generals win 18-15 against Richmond Rowdies

The Fredericksburg Generals ended 2007 on a positive note Saturday night as they took charge of the PASL Mid-Atlantic Division heading into the Christmas break. Six-point performances from captain Kelvin Jones and Eric Dutt secured a Generals 18-15 victory over their central Virginia rivals the Richmond Rowdies. Kelvin Jones led all scorers with 3 goals and Eric Dutt added two goals and two assists in the win.

Central Virginia Rivals battle in Final PASL Game of 2007!

Join the raucous crowd at the Fredericksburg Field House this Saturday night (Dec. 15^th) for the Fredericksburg Generals final home game of 2007!!! The fast-paced, high-energy action of indoor soccer will be taken to the next level as the Fredericksburg Generals battle their rivals from the south, the Richmond Rowdies. Both teams are currently undefeated and the winner of this game will take the lead in the PASL Mid-Atlantic Division heading into the Christmas break. This game will have an extremely professional atmosphere as the rosters for both teams contain 14 players that are current or former players with professional experience. This event provides a great atmosphere for the entire family to enjoy. All youth players ages 14 and under that wear a RED SHIRT will receive free admission into the game!!! Fredericksburg Generals Ready to Begin Second Season

Fredericksburg, VA (August 2007) - While the inaugural season of action in the Premier Arena Soccer League proved to be extremely successful for the F.C. Fredericksburg Generals, a heart-breaking loss to the Charlotte Swarm in the Division Championship left a bitter taste in their mouth. During the regular season, the Generals led the nation in goals scored (89), goals against (29) and tied for the highest winning percentage (.875). After cruising past the ACES of Charleston in the Division Semi-Final, the Generals traveled to Charlotte to face the Swarm in the final. The Swarm utilized the home field advantage to win 7-5 and capture the title. "Charlotte proved to be the better team on that day. They took an early lead and we had to play catch up the rest of the game. Charlotte was a very good squad but we didn’t play our best," said Head Coach Eric Dutt. The Generals look to translate their success in year one into even more opportunities in year two.

The Premier Arena Soccer League has awarded the 2008 PASL Winter League International Championships to the Fredericksburg Generals. This event will showcase the top 16 teams in the PASL at the Fredericksburg Field House on March 14-15, 2008. "The Fredericksburg Field House has been an amazing venue. I truly believe it is one of the nicest indoor facilities on the east coast," said Dutt. "We feel the Field House is the perfect place to show off the top talent in the PASL."

In 2006-07, the F.C. Fredericksburg Generals lead the PASL in average home attendance with 720 fans per game. "This is what we are most proud about. This shows everyone else what we already knew; that our fans are the best in the country. We look to provide even more of a family-fun experience in year two." For the 2007-08 PASL Winter League, the F.C. Fredericksburg Generals will compete in the Mid-Atlantic Division. Currently, this division consists of the Maryland Tigers, Maryland United, Winchester Impact, Richmond Rowdies and Virginia Legacy. The regular season will kickoff the first week of December and will run through mid-March.
